Per our chat: also see Serializer and Deserializer, which have very similar sizes and already exist. There’s now an open issue for shrinking true/false
Thanks @max! Sorry again that I totally missed this. I really love the compactness of the format and the implementation.
I’m still trying to weigh the benefits of defining our own format, versus a compatibilist strategy building on Msgpack or CBOR.
I’ll email you some thoughts this week and then maybe we can do a public town hall with a full proposal
